I’ve always loved spicy things and in my opinion the hotter the better! That’s why, when it comes to hot honey it’s a perfect pair. The sweetness of honey paired with the heat of peppers.
We’ve been doing some concocting in our honey lab and finally have our newest product! Introducing, Queen’s Orders Hot Honey! It’s a small batch of our raw, wildflower honey infused with just the right amount of spice made here in Charlotte, NC.
Whether you’re a hot honey veteran or newbie curious to try it for the first time, here’s all you need to know about this sweet and spicy local favorite.
What Is Hot Honey?
Hot honey is exactly what it sounds like: pure, raw honey infused with chili peppers. Ours is made with organic Calabrian and Carolina-grown chilis, balanced to deliver warmth and flavor without overwhelming your palate.
Perfect for:
Drizzling on pizza or fried chicken
Marinades for roasted veggies or grilled meats
Pairing with charcuterie or cheese boards
Mixing into cocktails or sauces
It’s a pantry upgrade you didn’t know you needed.
Why Choose Our Local Hot Honey?
Here in Charlotte, NC, our bees forage from native plants like holly, tulip poplar, sourwood and wild clover, creating a honey that’s naturally floral and full-bodied. This is why we give it the label of “Wildflower Honey.” It’s simply too unique to be called just one variety of flower/tree.
When we infuse it with carefully selected chili peppers, the result is a spicy, raw honey that adds heat but cools down at the same time! This is due to honeys natural tendency to provide relief to heat. Works the same on burns too!
Unlike commercial brands, our hot honey is:
Raw & unfiltered to preserve enzymes and nutrients
Handcrafted in small batches
Made with organic chili flakes, not artificial flavors
Delivered fresh right to your door (Charlotte area only)
Made by Beekeepers Who Know Their Heat
Personally if I’m getting something spicy, I want SPICY. Whenever I go to my favorite Indian or Thai restaurants, I ask for whatever spicy level is going to make me sweat. All that to say I’m well versed in both honey and spice and I know when things are TOO hot.
This latest variety, made with Calabrian peppers, is just enough to heat. It’s honestly more smoky than hot thanks to this unique pepper flavor.
